Teacher working with children with disabilities

Lusaka, Zambia
I help families overcome the stigma and the isolation that often comes with the special conditions of their children. I believe that every child can learn, but they need to learn following their learning tempo and interests.

I connect families with special needs and tell them how to better their living conditions. Often, these families are isolated from society, which isn’t right. My goal is to raise Zambia’s awareness of the problems encountered by children with special needs on their way to getting an education.

I am happy not just because I taught these children to read, but also because I helped their parents to break their silence and speak loudly about their rights.
